Available on Pro. Starter and Creator do not include custom domains. Contact us for business deployments.
You can connect one custom domain per app.
You manage the domain registration, renewal and DNS records.
2. Connect your domain
Open your app in the console and follow the custom domain settings link.
Enter your domain, such as app.example.com, and add it.
In your DNS provider’s dashboard, add the CNAME record shown by Blue.
After DNS has propagated, select the DNS verification and certificate action. Blue checks the record and obtains a Let’s Encrypt certificate.
When the status is active, your app is available on your domain.
3. Example CNAME record
Type: CNAME
Name: for example, app. We recommend a subdomain rather than the apex @.
Target: the exact Blue app hostname shown in your console, such as {your-app}.blue.sola.inc.
TTL: your provider’s default is fine, typically 300–3600 seconds.
4. After publication
Your app is available through your domain with automatic HTTPS.
The original Blue hostname remains accessible. The custom domain becomes the canonical URL for search engines.
Apps with custom domains are excluded from the featured list on Blue’s home page, supporting use under your own brand.
5. Troubleshooting
If DNS verification fails, allow time for propagation and check the CNAME name and target.
If certificate issuance fails, check for misspellings and make sure the domain exists.
After three consecutive failures, certificate attempts pause for 24 hours to protect against Let’s Encrypt rate limits. Correct the cause before retrying.
6. Removing a domain
Removing the setting disconnects the custom domain from your app.
Blue also removes the Let’s Encrypt certificate it obtained.
Your app remains available at its original Blue hostname.
